Many retailers which target on Malaysian consumers have joined local popular e-Commerce platform such as Lazada (the largest e-Commerce platform in Southeast Asia) and Shopee etc. The ASEAN economies grow fast in recent years with young population who adapt new economy model, and it is a good choice for Hong Kong businesses to manage risk.

The Hong Kong Government provides the Free Trade Agreement Programme (formerly known as “ASEAN Programme”) under the BUD Fund to help Hong Kong businesses to expand in the ASEAN markets. The subsidy ratio is 1 to 1, and each eligible company can obtain at most HK$ 4,000,000. For those successful applicant in the BUD Fund, they can get subsidy to brand and market.
